James A. Burnell, age 71, of Inverness, FL passed away at his residence on December 7, 2016. James was born on January 4, 1945 in Midland, MI to the late Anthony and Ella (Smith) Burnell. He proudly served his country as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist in the United States Air Force.
On July 13, 1995, he married Evelyn (Taxdahl) with whom he shared 21 years of marriage. In 2001, James and Evelyn made Citrus County their home after relocating from South Dakota. He was a member of the American-Canadian Snow Birds Club and enjoyed outdoor activities including playing golf, boating and kayaking. James also enjoyed cycling the Rails to Trails. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and neighbors.
Those left to mourn James’ passing and cherish his precious memory are his wife, Evelyn and his stepdaughters: Linda Dembinske and her husband David of Fresno, CA and Sue Bull and her husband Scott of Sioux Falls, S.D. Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
