Cherie Elaine Alden, age 71, of Inverness, passed away on December 6, 2016 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Cherie was born on November 6, 1945 in Binghamton, NY to the late Richard and Beverly (Swan) Alden. She had been a resident of Citrus County since 1988 after her family relocated from Tampa, FL. A Baptist by faith, she attended worship services at the First Baptist Church of Inverness. Cherie will be remembered as a very caring, special and kind person who will be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to mourn Cherie’s passing are her cousins: Dora Swan Bell, Laura Swan Emerick, Anita Swan Lopez and Rita Swan Anderson; nieces: Jeannie Alden, Deborah Davis and Summer Lopez; and her special family: Lindy and Jeff Decker of Inverness, and Jessica Decker-Short and her husband Trey of Inverness. She was preceded in death by her parent’s Richard D. and Beverly J. (Swan) Alden.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance is planned for Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 3:00PM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Kell of Cornerstone Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 PM until the hour of service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
