Gary Don Luttrell, age 64, of Inverness, FL passed away at his residence on December 2, 2016. Gary was born on September 30, 1952 in Benton Harbor, MI to Bennie and Bertha (Burns) Luttrell. He served his country as a member of the United States Army and made Citrus County his home in 1988 after moving from Michigan.
Gary enjoyed fishing and gardening in his spare time. He was a lifetime member of Moose Lodge 2112, a member of the American Legion #225, Floral City, F.O.E. #4372 in Weeki Wachi, I.R.R.U, Inverness and a member of VFW Post #4337, Inverness.
Those left to mourn Gary’s passing and cherish his memory are his wife, Joni Luttrell, Inverness, FL; his parent’s, Bennie and Bertha Luttrell, Inverness, FL; son, Joey Luttrell and his wife, Lisa of New Port Richey, FL; stepdaughter, Jamie Brooks and her husband Blake of Inverness, FL; brothers: Bennie Luttrell of Statesville, N.C., Jerry Luttrell and James Luttrell both of Inverness, FL; and three grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
A Memorial Service is planned for Friday, December 9, 2016 at 12:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In recognition of his military service, full military honors will be rendered by Inverness VFW Post #4337 Honor Guard. Friends are invited to join Gary’s family at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home on the morning of the service at 11:30 AM to join the procession to the cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
