Alice M. Williams, 93 of Lecanto, died Friday, December 2, 2016 at Brentwood Lodge. Alice was born on July 12, 1923 in Independence, Kansas to the late Roscoe and Alta (Clark) Nance. She came to Citrus County in 2007 from Dallas, Texas. She was a member of the Hernando United Methodist Church and was a former beautician. She enjoyed her bible class at church and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter: Sandra K. Smith and her husband Meryl of Lecanto; her sister, Shirley Davidson and sister in law Betty Nance, both of Independence, KS. She also leaves her three grandchildren: Lesli Wood-Peterson and husband Boyd of Tucson, AZ; Kimberly Ward and Sherri Hand , both of Chanute, KS; Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Rex in 2007, her son, Richard Trotter, granddaughter Allison Schellinger, and her first husband Joseph H. Carter in 1970.
A Celebration of Life Memorial for Alice will be held at a later date with inurnment at the Hernando United Methodist Church Memory Garden. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
