Kenneth A Wilson

Kenneth Allan Wilson, 53, of Ocala, FL passed away suddenly at home on November 24, 2016. Mr. Wilson was born in Concord, NH on Jan. 15, 1963 to the late Henry C. and Sonja E. (Davidson) Wilson, Jr. Ken grew up in Hudson, NH and graduated from Alvirne High School before later attending Word of Life Bible School. He was employed with the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Merrimack, NH before moving to Florida.

Ken (known as “Kenny” by those closest to him) loved the outdoors, especially the beach, mountains, and gazing at the stars. He enjoyed eating good food, camping, visiting with friends, reading the Bible, watching a good sci-fi movie, and all things related to flying. When he was younger, he also liked skiing, scuba diving, and acting in plays at his church. He loved to be the ‘life of the party’ and will be remembered for his sense of humor. He treasured time with his family, most especially that spent with his children. He was a very loving father, always telling his children how much he loved them and was quick to brag about them to others.

Ken had a great love of both animals and people. He was always quick to thank others for any kindness shown to him, even the smallest gestures. He was a kind and gentle spirit, who would welcome just about anyone to sit and chat for a while. He also took after his parents, loving to watch the birds near his home and keeping them well fed. He especially loved the cardinals, which reminded him of his mother.

He loved to help others whenever he could. In his younger years, he went on a mission trip to Africa, which had a great impact on his life. He also continued to support missions work by sponsoring a child in Honduras.

He is survived by his two children, Christie Wilson and Jonathan Wilson, both of Ocala; a brother and sister, Craig Wilson of Hudson, NH, and Kimberly Murchie of Westminster, MA; and several nieces and nephews.

Ken will be missed dearly by all who knew him and his memory is cherished by many. However, we know that he is thrilled to be in Heaven, which he always considered to be his ‘true’ home. He prayed often and was always thanking God for all of his blessings, both big and small.

Memorial calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Tuesday December 20th from 4 – 5 PM, with a memorial service to follow at 5 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
