Kathryn L. “Kathy” Millard, 64 of Floral City, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. Born on December 21, 1951 to the late Glenwood and Eunice (Patton) Millard, she came here permanently in 2011 from her native Meshoppen, Pennsylvania, having been a “snowbird” for three years.
Kathy worked in various hospitals in the housekeeping department throughout her life. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Inverness. Having been baptized in 2014, her faith was very important to her.
She loved her TOPS Chapter 743 meetings with her special friends Duane and Sheila Finch of Floral City, FL. She also enjoyed playing bingo at the Floral City Lions Club. Kathy enjoyed going to casinos and playing the slot machines and visiting yard sales and thrift stores. She made cards and did crafts, baked cookies, watched cooking shows and sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles football games. She enjoyed fishing and boating, listening to country music and playing games on her computer. Kathy was a wonderful loving sister and aunt. She was a very caring person who liked to make people laugh and loved giving people big hugs!
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters: Barbara L. Collins, Floral City, FL; Jennie Graham, Meshoppen, PA and Bette Brown (Calvin Peters), Floral City, FL; many nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her brothers: Robert Millard in 1993, and Leslie Millard in 2008, and his wife, Linda in 1983; and her nephew Jason Millard in 2011.
A Celebration of Life Service for Kathy will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 3:00 PM from the First Christian Church of Inverness located at 2018 Colonade St, Inverness, FL 34453, with Dr. Ray Kelly officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory of Inverness.
