Alan J Friedrich

Alan James Friedrich, 83, of Inverness, FL passed away November 4, 2016 under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Lecanto, FL. He was born in Hollis, NY on March 25, 2016 to the late John Charles and Grace Anna (Bush) Friedrich. Alan was a plumber, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He arrived in this area in 2012, coming from Las Cruces, N.M. and was a Catholic by faith. He enjoyed traveling to new places with his wife in their R.V., building houses, and working with drug and alcohol abusers. Alan was a member of American Legion Post #400, Orlando, FL; and the D.A.V. Auxiliary #70 in Inverness. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Joan O. Friedrich of Inverness. Other survivors include his children, Michael Friedrich and his wife Joann of Spring, TX, Timothy M. Friedrich of Shirley, NY, John G. Friedrich and his wife Carol of Bayshore, NY, Kim M. Rossi of East Islip, NY, Karen L. Thompson and her husband Kenneth of Bayshore, NY, and Linda Pow and her husband Louie of Mineola, NY; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Alan’s urn will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, is assisting the family with arrangements.
