Raymond Franklin Copeland, age 79, of Lecanto, FL passed away on October 28, 2016. Raymond was born on June 19, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Alvin and Isabelle (York) Copeland. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. After his military service, Raymond worked as a construction equipment salesman for the Ditchwitch company for 25 years. In 1966, he married Sylvia Conway with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. In 1998, Raymond and Sylvia made Citrus County their home after relocating from Dowingtown, PA. In his spare time he enjoyed watching football, playing golf, and fishing with his friends.
In addition to his loving wife, Raymond is survived by his sister, Patricia Tucker of Verona, PA. Raymond was preceded in death by his parent’s and his brother, Ronald Copeland.
Raymond’s urn will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at a later date. Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
