Lawrence Charles Mahoney, Jr., 91, Hernando, passed away October 21, 2016 at Hospice of Citrus & The Nature Coast in Lecanto. Mr Mahoney was born on July 11, 1925 in Hyannis, MA to the late Lawrence and Florence (Johnson) Mahoney, Sr. and came to Florida in 2003 from Plymouth, MA. He was a retired Superintendant, having been employed by Bethlehem Steel at the Quincy Ship Yard with 38 years of service. He graduated from Tufts University and served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was of the Episcopal Faith. Lawrence was an avid golfer at Citrus Hills Country Club, enjoyed spending time with his family, and most of all, bragging about his two daughters and three superb grandsons.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 26 years, Carole Viera Mahoney of Hernando; 2 daughters, Marie Klimchuk of Bedford, VA; Sharon Paronich of Plymouth, MA; 3 grandchildren, Max Paronich, Joseph Klimchuk, and Ben Paronich.
Cremation arrangements are private under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory.
