Sue C. Steed, age 68, of Hernando, FL died October 17, 2016 at Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River, FL. Sue was born in York, Aabama on November 1, 1947 to the late Felton and Ruth (Hewston) Chambers. She was married to Weyman Steed on September 18, 1994 with whom she shared 22 years of marriage. Sue worked as a customer service representative for K-Mart for 15 years then went on to work for Target for 14 years before retiring. While a resident of Alabama, Sue was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She made Citrus County her home 2 1/2 years ago after relocating from Bogart, GA. A Baptist by faith, she formerly attended services at the Hull Baptist Church in Hull, GA. Sue loved to read. It was rare for her not to have a book in hand. She read from the time she got up in the morning until she went to bed at night. Sue also loved her dog and 2 cats dearly.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held in Georgia at a later date.
The Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL is assisting the family with private cremation arrangements.
