James E. Young, 82, Floral City passed away September 24, 2016 in Citrus Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mr Young was born in Centerville, OH on October 23, 1933 and came to this area in 1992 from Piketon, OH. He was a retired dairy farmer before moving to Florida. Additionally, he and his wife, Hilda, managed several camping grounds owned and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He retired from that position in 2010. Jim was of the Baptist Faith.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 65 years, Hilda Joann Young; his son, James David Young and wife, Barbara of Hattiesburg, MS; his daughter, Deborah Joann Loosbrock and husband, Neal of Panama City, FL; 5 grandchildren, Joann, Jessica, Alan, Krisie, and Nathan; 2 great-grandchildren, Hunter and Elizabeth. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Robert and Harold and his sister, Margaret Steinhauser.
Graveside services with military honors will be rendered on Wednesday, September 28th at 2:30 PM from Florida National Cemetery with Rev.Tim Stine and the V.F.W. Post 4337 officiating. Interment will follow. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. The Chas E Davis Funeral Home is assisting the family
