Laura Lyn O’Hara, age 52, of Inverness, FL died at her residence on September 4, 2016. Laura was born on November 7, 1963 in West Islip, N.Y. to the late Frank and Mary (King) Myers. At the age of 7, Laura moved to Beverly Hills, FL with her family. She worked various jobs throughout her life but her main occupation and focus was taking care of and raising her 3 sons. A Catholic by faith, she attended services at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Crystal River. Christmas was Laura’s favorite holiday and she would spend hours making Christmas cookies to share with family and friends. She loved being a grandmother. Laura was most happy when she was spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed time spent with her friends and talking to them on the phone. She liked watching television, and was especially a fan of General Hospital. Laura will be remembered as a great mother and a loving and caring grandmother. She will also be remembered as a devoted, loyal and generous friend to those who knew her. Those left to mourn Laura’s passing are her 3 sons: David O’Hara of Inverness, Michael O’Hara of Beverly Hills, and Christopher O’Hara of Bushnell; 11 grandchildren: Trenton, Makaila, Brianna, Leland, Destiny, Caleb, Lexi, Sierra, Summer,Teah, and Cheyenne. The Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private cremation arrangements.
