Lemar “Lynn” McLain, 61, Hernando, passed away July 22, 2016 at his residence. Mr McLain was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Luther and Shirley (Smith) McLain and moved to this area in 1988 from Tampa. He worked in the construction industry as a sheet metal specialist for E.S.I. for 42 years and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and Citrus Co. Airboat Association. Lynn enjoyed spending time with his family, airboating, fishing, hunting and 4 wheeling. He was of the “work hard, play hard” generation and never seemed to be idle.
Left to mourn their loss and cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Melody Rogers McLain; 2 children, Jason (Tammy) McLain, and Jen (Jason) Simmons, both of Hernando, FL; 1 sister, Cheryl (Jim) Brush, Tampa; his grandchildren, Kayla, Krista, David, Karlie, Layla, Cody, Jason, and Justin; 1 great-grandson, Brentley.
Lemar’s life will be remembered and celebrated at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Inverness on Aug 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Greg Kell officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Cremation arrangement were under the direction of the Chas E Davis Funeral Home With Crematory, Inverness, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lynn’s memory.
