Lois Lucile Bame, 79, of Hernando passed away June 10, 2016 in Munroe Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Bame is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, John Bame, their four daughters (Valerie Bame Frasard of Clermont, Sandy Oglesby of Chiefland, Patricia Burnett of Beverly Hills, and Melanie Burger of Ocala), their eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and three beloved family pets.
Mrs. Bame was born in Adrian, MI on March 10, 1937 to the late William and Hazel Merrick. Mr. and Mrs. Bame relocated to Florida, finally settling in Citrus County in 1979. Mrs. Bame spent her career serving the community as a dedicated office receptionist in a local dental office. She led a life characterized by her devoted and generous spirit.
After retirement, Mrs. Bame enjoyed donating her time to those in need – especially valuing the time she spent volunteering with Meals on Wheels. She later returned to work to assist with her family’s private ambulance service. Mrs. Bame continued to enjoy working for the family business until the week before her passing.
The Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory will be assisting the family with private arrangements with the Florida National Cemetery to celebrate Mrs. Bame’s life, love, and memory.
