Milton Alberto Cardenas, 76, Inverness passed away at home May 29, 2016 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus & The Nature Coast. Mr. Cardenas was born on May 19, 1940 in Guayaquil, Ecuador to the late Alberto and Lastenia (Roha) Cardenas.
He moved to Citrus County in 2006 after retiring from the General Motors Plant in Romulas, MI with 35 years of service as a tool and die maker. He was of the Catholic Faith.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sandra (Hatfield) Cardenas; 2 sons, Milton N. Cardenas of St Clair Shores, MI and Javeico Cardenas of Royal Oak, MI; 3 daughters, Sandra Cardenas and Clara Alfes, both of Lake Mary, FL; Heydee Blair of Boca Raton, FL; 3 brothers Alberto Cardenas and Angel Cardenas both of Ecuador, Carlos Cardenas of Troy, MI; 2 sisters: Betty Torres and Rosa Bobadilla both of Ecuador; six grandchildren; also surviving are his 3 step children, 6 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be offered Friday, June 10th at 3:00 PM from the Chas E Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.
