Helen K. Hallberg, aged 84, passed away on April 25 in Inverness, Florida. One of 9 Children, she spent her formative years in Chicago, attending events at the Aragon Ballroom and attending other events in the city.
It was on one of these excursions, while taking in a Theatre On The Lake performance, where she met the love of her life, Herb Hallberg. After a few years of dating, they were married in December of 1950. A few years later, Helen gave birth to the second great love of her life, Herb, Jr., in 1955. Over the years, Helen and family followed her wanderlust both on vacation (visiting such exotic destinations as Hong Kong, Alaska, and Hawaii), and in making her homestead (living in such far-flung places as New Jersey, California, Tennessee, and Florida).
She is preceded in death by her parents, 8 siblings, and husband, and is survived by her son, daughter-in-law Linda, grandchildren Matt and Marie, and many nieces and nephews.
