Geraldine Mae Wilson, 92, formerly of Inverness passed away at the Margate Health & Rehab Center on May 25, 2016. Mrs Wilson was born in Glade, West Virginia on Feb. 15, 1924 to the late Denver C. and Thelma Marie (Hunt) Burdett and moved to Inverness in 1985 from Ft. Pierce, FL.
She worked at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness as a Central Service Technician and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by 2 children, Larry Wilde of California and Sondra Bass of Margate, FL; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Walter J. Wilson on Jan. 1, 2014 and her son, Michael Wilde.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Byron Brown, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Inverness officiating. Private burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Inverness, FL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
