Carmine Cuomo, 85, Homosassa passed away at home April 9, 2016 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus & The Nature Coast. Carmine was born in Queens, NY on February 24, 1931 to the late Ralph and Sophie (Carro) Cuomo. He resided in Ft Lauderdale and Riverview, FL before moving to Citrus County. He retired from the printing business and was of the Catholic Faith. He served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Left to mourn his loss is his wife of 50 years, Elaine (Carlucci) Cuomo; 5 children, Patricia (Robert) Panaccione, Homosassa; Steven (Regina) Epple, Inverness; Nancy (Ralph) Cuomo, West Palm Beach; Lori Warden, Jacksonville, FL; Elaine (Al) Herndon, Homosassa; 1 brother, Robert (Fran) Cuomo, Utah; daughter in law, Laura Panetta, Williston, FL; 15 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Patrick Hedden and Billy Cuomo and his brother, Ralph Cuomo.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Fr. Tim Cummings, Celebrant. Following cremation, military honors for the urn will be Friday, 10:30 AM at Florida National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Chas E Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-7 PM.
