Charles Wallace Ruprecht, 81 of Inverness, died Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the HPH Hospice Care Center in Lecanto. Born on September 24, 1934 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to the late Walter and Pauline Ruprecht. He arrived in this area in 1997 coming from Palos Hills, Illinois. Mr. Ruprecht was a U.S. Army veteran, and a retired police officer with the Bridgeview, Illinois Police Department. He was a 32nd degree mason with the Waukegan Masonic Lodge #78 and the Chicago Shrine Temple; the Inverness Eagles Aerie #3992; the Chicago American Legion Post 207; the Inverness Elks Lodge and the Citrus Masonic Lodge # 118. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Jeanne, on November 18, 2012. He is survived by his sons: Charles (Dawn) Ruprecht of Illinois, and Scott Ruprecht of Indiana; his daughters: Dianna (Wayne) Davison of Illinois, and Robyn Rachal of Indiana; step-children: David James of Illinois, and Debra James of Wisconsin; special niece: Kristin Clause of Inverness; special friends: April Watson of Michigan, Dale and Tina Boggess of Inverness; and his brother William (Donna) Bixler of Texas; 13 Grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor “Penny” Crocker. Memorial Services for Charles will be conducted on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness. The family will be receiving friends in visitation one hour prior to service. Inurnment with military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery after the services.
