Roy Don Whitehead, age 74, of Inverness, FL died March 26, 2016 while under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Inverness. Roy was born on December 10, 1941 in Savannah, GA to the late Golden and Mildred (McKenna) Whitehead.
Roy loved to travel and rarely let the grass grow beneath his feet. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man that would give someone the shirt off his back if they needed it more than him.
Those left to mourn Roy’s passing and cherish his memory are two brothers: Eugene (Singhi) Whitehead of Greenville, NC and Fred Whitehead; Three sisters: Opal West of Inverness, FL, Sarah Pfeister of Gayton, GA and Isabel Whitehead of Homosassa, FL. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Whitehead and one sister, Mary Wesley.
Private arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
