JoAnn Boyd, age 86, of Ocala, formerly of Beverly Hills, died March 11, 2016 while under the care of Windsor of Ocala Assisted Living Facility and Hospice of Marion County. JoAnn was born in Greenfield, Indiana on March 31, 1929 to Frank and Arta (Ghere) Stillwell.
In 1994, she and her husband, Terry, moved to Laurel Ridge, Beverly Hills from Encino and Mission Viejo, California. JoAnn was known in Citrus County for her watercolor paintings and was a member of the Citrus County Watercolor Club, The Citrus Art Center, Nature Coast Painters, Florida Art Society and a past President of the Ocala Art Group. Her paintings are displayed in homes and businesses all over the County.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Terry Boyd. Others that preceded her in death are her twin brother, Joe Stillwell; brother, Billy A. Stillwell; and sister, Mary Lou Stillwell, all of Frankfort, Indiana.
At JoAnn’s request, there will be no services or viewing. Interment at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, will take place at a later date. Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
