William “Bill” O. Youmans, age 79, of Floral City, FL, died on February 24, 2016. Bill was born on March 5, 1936 in Washington, D.C. to the late Ezra and Mabel (Hurdlebrink) Youmans.
He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. In 1985, Bill moved to Citrus County from Silver Spring, MD. He and his late wife owned an operated an antique and depression glass business for a time.
Bill was an avid pilot and had his pilot’s license. He was a classic car enthusiast and a Harley Davidson owner and rider. Bill was technically skilled and able to engineer solutions for repairs to anything that didn’t have a spare part. He also loved to fish in his spare time.
Those left to mourn his passing and cherish his memory are his son, William Curtis Youman of Floral City, FL; his daughter, Sylvia (Zack) Sayre of Floral City, FL; and three sisters, Margaret, Katherine and Monna. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 28 years, Myrtice “Candy” Youmans, on June 1, 2008.
The Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private cremation arrangements.
