Robert William Whiting, 74, of Inverness, Florida passed away Monday, February 8, 2016, surrounded by the caring staff of Brentwood Health Center in Lecanto, Florida. Robert was born on July 31, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Cornelius and Marjorie Emma (Karnatz) Whiting.
After meeting and marrying his wife of almost 24 years, Louise Ruth Oliver, of Okeechobee, they moved to Citrus County where they lived for 23 years. Robert enjoyed fishing, NASCAR races, working on cars, and tinkering at his shop in his garage.
Left to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Louise R.(Oliver) Whiting; his two sons: Robert Whiting of Alabama, and Scott Whiting of W. Palm Beach, FL; step sons: Wayne, Dana, and Chris; step daughters: Debbie, Vicki, Kelly, and Jodi; his two sisters: Kay Erhart and Pat Siberio, both of Prembroke Pines, FL; and several Grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on February 20, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove Church, Inverness, FL. Arrangements under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
