Jessie B. Wilford, 82, Hernando, FL died Jan 9, 2016 at Hospice of Citrus & The Nature Coast facility in Inverness. A native of Sylvester, GA., he was born September 30, 1933 to the late Bernard J. and Ethel Cox Wilford.
Jessie relocated here from Carmine, TX and Tallahassee, FL. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and served our country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the N.R.A., American Legion, a volunteer with the Citrus Co. Sheriff’s Academy, and a Resource Officer.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Anthony, Pottsville, PA; his brother, Andrew Wilford of Dade City, FL; 2 sisters, Louise Huth of Nokomis, FL; Eva May Bennett of Dover, FL; 5 grand and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services conducted Wed, Jan 13th at 11:00 AM from Chas E Davis Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honor will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
