James Vernon Davis, Lecanto, FL, died December 17, 2015 while under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Lecanto. He was 80 years old at the time of his passing. James was born on July 13, 1935 in Clarksville, TN to the late Garland and Annie (Baggett) Davis.
He was employed as an automobile salesman throughout his life. In 1980, James relocated to Citrus County from Peoria, IL. He was formerly a member of Moose Lodge 2013 in Crystal River. James had a passion for anything to do with cars, boats and motorcycles.
Left to mourn his passing and cherish his memory are his loving companion of eighteen years, Joann Whitehead; two sons, James “Scott” Davis and Robert Davis; three daughters, Brenda Vance, Cindy Nolan and Sandy Smith; one step-daughter, Wendy Knake; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements.
