Helen M. Kartune, 87, of Homosassa, FL passed away December 15, 2015 at her residence in Homosassa. She was born on March 4, 1928 in Grayson, KY to the late Lafayette and Rosena (Burton) Carter.
Helen was a homemaker, and arrived in this area in 1982, coming from Cleveland, OH. She was a Baptist by faith, and she enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing shuffleboard, cards, and checkers, and enjoyed gardening and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles Kartune in 2005, and a son, Stephen Kartune, in 2001. She is survived by her loving children John C. (Gail) Kartune of Middleburg, OH, Ronald A. (Lilo) Kartune of Homosassa, Linda Adkins and her husband, Rick Settelen of Ashtabula, OH; Shelley (Mike) Gargano of Bronson, FL; Dona Beck of Perryville, MO; Robin Preston and Cathy Church, both of Floral City, FL.; her brother, Harold Carter of Grayson, KY; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Helen’s urn will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with her late husband Charles and her son, Stephen, at a later date. Chas E Davis Funeral Home With Crematory
