James Douglas Hoover, of Hernando, FL, died December 8th, 2015 at the age of 76. James was born in Waynesboro, VA to the late Charles and Ruth (Cline) Hoover on April 23rd, 1939.
In 1975, he moved from Virginia and relocated to Citrus County. James served our country as a member of the U.S. Army and went on to become a truck driver for the construction industry. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors and counted fishing and hunting as two of his favorite hobbies. James also had a great love for automobiles and classic cars.
Left to cherish his memory are three sons, Jerry Hoover of Hernando, FL, Tony Hoover of Floral City, FL, and Terry Hoover of Spring Hill, FL; one daughter, Annette (Clayton) Chapel, of Marble Falls, TX; one sister, Shirley Thomas of North Carolina; thirteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements.
