John Walter Ramey, age 89, of Lecanto, FL died peacefully in his sleep at his residence on November 21, 2015. John was born on December 15, 1925 in Lincoln, NE to the late Doug and Exa Ramey.
After serving his country in the United States Navy, he went on to become a successful salesman for the Pennzoil Oil Company. John lived in St. Petersburg, FL for a number of years where he was a member of the Central Christian Church. Two years ago, he relocated to Lecanto to reside with his son, Doug, who is John’s only surviving family member.
The Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, is assisting the family with private cremation arrangements.
