Martha Lee Woodstuff, age 88, of Inverness, FL died November 19, 2015 died peacefully at home under the care of HPH Hospice. Martha was born on March 15, 1927 in Cameron, W.V. to the late Joseph and Florence (Earnest) Clark.
On October 15, 1949 she married John F. Woodstuff. He preceded her in death Sept 1, 2007. She and John relocated to the Citrus County area in 1971 from Pennsylvania. For many years, Martha was a member of the First Christian Church of Cameron, W.V. She was the founder of the Inverness branch of “Reach to Recovery” with the American Cancer Society. Martha was also a member of the Inverness VFW Post #4337 Women’s Auxillary. Dedicated to cancer charity work, she was a speaker for women’s groups and also organized fashion shows for women that had undergone a mastectomy.
Martha will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephew, Roberta Pitts of Heber Springs, AR; Joanna (John)Schubert of St Petersburg, FL; ; Peggy (Jerry) Ripke of St Helens, MI; Steve Morris of Midland, MI;
The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, Dec 5th at 3:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. The V.F.W. Women’s Auxillary of Post 4337 and Dr. Ray Kelley, pastor of The First Christian Church of Inverness will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 3545 N. Lecanto Hwy., Beverly Hills, FL 34465.
