Joan D. Madden, 76, Inverness, passed away at home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus & The Nature Coast. Joan was born in Mesquite, TX on June 16, 1939 to the late Sonny and Stella (Potter) Davis and came to Citrus County in 1996 from Zephyrhills, FL.

She was employed for many years in the mortgage industry as a loan processor and was of the Protestant Faith. Joan was a former member of the Inverness Golf & Country Club, enjoyed decorating her home, and spending quality time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 37 years, “Doug” Madden; 2 Sons, Ken Riggs and his wife Sue of Lawrenceville, GA; Bennett Craig Carter and his wife Debra of Crystal River; 1 daughter, Donna Middleton and husband, John of Palm Bay, FL; her brother, Reno Davis of Scurry, TX; her sister, Judy Nuhn of Norwalk, OH; 3 grandchildren, Adams Riggs, J.D. Middleton, and Ashley White.

Joan’s life will be remembered with a Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, Nov. 22nd at 2:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness. Her family members and friends will officiate.
