Evelyn W. Baroody, age 95, of Inverness, died November 18, 2015 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast House in Lecanto, surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was born on August 18, 1920 in Delaware Watergap, PA to the late John and Jennie (Strunk) VanWhy.
She was a phenomenal homemaker and mother. Evelyn excelled in cooking, sewing, canning, working in her flower garden, and raising her children. In 1982, she moved to Citrus County from St. Petersburg FL, and Georgia.
She is survived by her husband, Abraham Baroody of Inverness; three daughters, Florence Johnson of Dayton TN, Berendena Fleming of Swansea IL, and Lois Harrison of Inverness; her two sons, Ralph Walker of Inverness, and John (Carol) Walker of Floral City: her step son, Pastor Stephen (Carol) Baroody of Inverness; many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and several Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty.
Funeral Services for Evelyn will be at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at 4:00 P.M., with Pastor Stephen Baroody officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. until Service time.
