David Robert Leaf, 68, Inverness died suddenly at home on Nov 14, 2015. Mr. Leaf was born Sept 14, 1947 in Barberton, OH to the late Donald and Marie (Purigraski) Leaf and moved to this area in 1978.

He was retired from the masonary and construction industry. He served our country in the U.S. Army where he served in the 101st and 82nd Airborne divisions during Vietnam and was the receipent of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, and D.A.V. David enjoyed boating, fishing, and woodworking.

He is survived by his children and step children, Robin Leaf Gelinas and Husband Brandon, Inverness; Carmen Thompson and husband, Richard of Jacksonville, FL; Brian Davis and wife Tammy, Sparr, FL; Madonna (Sissy) Wiggins and husband James, Morriston, FL; Matthew Leaf, Ohio; Elizabeth Leaf, Barberton, OH; his brother, John Daniel Leaf and wife Nancy, Hernando, FL; his sister, Karyl Vetter, Marrietta, OH; 8 grand and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Sally Leaf on May 6, 2015; his brother and sister, Donna Marie Houston and Donald Richard Leaf.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, Nov 19th, 12:30 PM at the Chas E Davis Funeral Home with Rev. John Daniel Leaf officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the time of service.
