Betty J. Cook, age 85, Inverness, died October 3, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born on February 28, 1930 in New London, NH to the late Harry and Mabel (Akins) Gilbert.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing. Since 1988, Betty was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Inverness and served in many of the ministries throughout the years. She was also a Hospice volunteer, assisting people in getting appointments.
Left to honor her memory are daughters Sandi Bossard, Inverness and Kristy Cook, Spring Hill, FL; her sister Patricia Murphy; grandchildren Jennifer (David) Smith and Melissa (Eddie) Driver; two great-grandchildren, Josiah Smith and Analisa Driver. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Harold W. Cook.
