Virginia “Ginny” (Beutel) Gipe, age 72 of Hernando, died on September 15, 2015 surrounded by her loving family and under the care of HPH hospice staff. Virginia was born on April 8, 1943 in Edwardsville, IL to the late Leslie and Bessie (Wallace) Beutel.
On April 19, 1963 she married David L. Gipe with whom she celebrated 47 years of marriage. David preceded her in death in 2009. In her spare time, Virginia enjoyed reading, playing games on the computer and texting with her friends. She also loved arts and crafts, especially painting. Virginia volunteered much of her time throughout her life and took much pleasure in her role as team mother for various football, baseball, softball and cheerleading organizations. She was a very patient and kind person, a great mother and a loving grandmother.
Left to mourn her passing are her daughter, Rebecca Russ and her husband Tom of Spring Hill, FL; son, Jeffrey Gipe and his wife Alicia of Citrus Springs, FL; brother, James Beutel of Floral City, FL; sister, Kathy Harster and her husband Mark of Bunker Hill, IL; grandchildren, Joshua Russ, Jacob Russ, Ayla Gipe, Emorie Gipe and Liam Gipe; and great grandchild, Talan Russ.
