James L. Verity, age 78, Inverness, passed away on September 8, 2015 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. James was born on June 18, 1937 in Baldwin, Long Island, NY to the late William and Nettie Verity. He was employed by the Town of Hempstead as a sanitation engineer.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Judith Tansey (husband Michael Tansey, Sr.), Lorraine Verity and ToniMarie Verity (Gary Daggett), all of Inverness; grandchildren, Michael Tansey, Jr., Mitchell Kohler,Jr. Tiffany Tansey, Paige Layne (husband-Jeffrey) and James Verity and the light of his life, his great-grandson Emmitt Smith. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Rosemary Verity.
A celebration of life and memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. The family invites friends to join them for visitation from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.
