Howard Joseph Lauben, 74, of Inverness passed away July 25, 2015 in the Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, FL. Howard was born June 9, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Howard J. and Catherine (Wharton) Lauben.
He came to this area in 1978 from St. James, Long Island, NY. He was a retired insurance sales representative and member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Other affiliations include Knights of Columbus Council 6391 (Life Member) and the Inverness Loyal Order of Moose.
Left to mourn his loss is his wife of 54 years, Alma (Ochs) Lauben; his son, Joseph M. Lauben, Inverness; his daughter, Roslyn Geer and her husband, Gary of Homosassa; 3 grandchildren, Michael, Tina, and Elisabeth and 8 great-grandchildren
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, July 28th at 2:30 PM from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Fr. Erwin Belgica, celebrant. Entombment will follow in Fero Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Beverly Hills. Reposing hours will be this evening (Monday) from 6-8 PM. at Chas E Davis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the American Cancer Society.
