Dorothy A Patnode

Dorothy Ann Patnode, 80, Inverness passed away July 15, 2015 in Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center Hospital in Crystal River. Mrs Patnode was born Oct 23, 1934 in St Helen, MI to the late George and Catherine (Bigelow) Gibbs and moved here in 1997 from Jackson, MI. She was a retired owner/operator of an insurance agency and worshiped at the First Church of God in Inverness. She participated in the L.I.F.T. activities here in Citrus County and enjoyed her card games. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Elgin “Jim” R. Patnode.
Left to mourn her loss are 4 children, Jimmie Patnode; Michael Patnode; Roger Patnode and wife Karin; Debra Bucholtz and husband Donald; her brother, Raymond Gibbs; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Chas E Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, July 19, 2:00 P.M., with viewing one hour prior. Pastor Tom Walker will officiate. Following cremation, urn burial will follow in the Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City at a later date.
