Lorene M Parks

Lorene M. Parks, 89, of Homosassa, FL passed away July 10, 2015 at her residence in Homosassa. She was born on May 5, 1926 in Stokes County, North Carolina to the late Isaiah and Alice (Wall) Montgomery. Lorene arrived in this area in June, coming from Murphy, NC, was a homemaker, and was of the Moravian faith. She loved flowers, and spending time with her Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Roger Parks in 2001; and one son, Mark Parks, Sr. Survivors include her children Joel Parks Sr. of Ocala, FL, Judy (Steven) Bell of Winston-Salem, NC, and Karen Gregory of Homosassa; sister Essie Tedder of Germanton, NC; grandchildren Joel, Maria, Felicia, Josh, Mark and Tabitha; and several great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Lorene’s family cemetery in Stokes County, N.C. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL, 34464. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
