Donald L Cannon

DONALD L. CANNON, age 82, Inverness, died June 24, 2015 surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice of Citrus and Nature Coast staff. Donald was born on January 20, 1933 in Coal City, IL to the late Oscar and Beulah (Ogden) Cannon. He served our country in the United States Navy. Donald was employed by Sony Pictures in the motion picture industry as a truck driver. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing cards. Donald was a member of the Eagles Aerie # 3992 of Inverness, the Burbank, CA Elks Lodge #1497, the Culver City, CA Elks Lodge #1917 and the American Legion Post #45 of Noblesvill, IN. Left to treasure his memory is his wife Janice Cannon; sons Harold (Barbara) Cannon, CA and Donald (Teresa) Cannon, TN, daughters Susan (Alonzo) Hernandez, Dawn (Timothy) Matter, both of FL, Mary Jane Cannon, CA, and Cherie Cannon of IN; a sister Mary Ellen Hersberger, IN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Harold Cannon. A celebration and tribute to Donald’s life will be held on Saturday, June 27th at 2:00 PM at the Eagles Aerie of Inverness. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast or the American Cancer Society. Chas. E.
