MARGARET E. HUNT, age 72, Inverness, passed away June 11, 2015 surrounded by her loving family and under the care of HPH Hospice staff. Margaret was born on October 23, 1942 in Valdosta, GA to the late James B. Edenfield, Sr. and Annie Ruth (Judge) Edenfield and moved to this area from Homestead, Florida in 1989. Margaret was a licensed real estate broker, bookkeeper, and member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. She spent much of her free time volunteering for the American Cancer Society, was the Coordinator for the Reach to Recovery organization, a volunteer for Make A Wish Foundation and Relay For Life. One of her favorite projects was the Cattle Baron’s Ball which raised thousands of dollars for the Cancer Society over the years. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Kimberly Hunt Bruce (husband-Tyler), Miami Shores, FL; and Michele Mederos of Inverness; her brother James B. Edenfield, Jr. (wife-Lynette), Fort Worth, TX; her sister Dena M. Smith (husband-Roger), Pace, FL and grandchildren Jennifer Sauers and Aaron Mederos. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Hunt May 28, 1996.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 10:30 from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Fr. Erwin Belgica, celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home Sunday from 2-4 PM where Wake Vigil Services will be conducted at 3:30 PM.
