Joanne Elliott Posey Campbell, age 81, Inverness, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 2, 2015 under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus and Nature Coast. Joanne was born on September 20, 1933 in Ypsilanti, MI to the late Henry and Doris (Kane) Denike. She was employed by the Lansing State Journal and the Detroit Free Press as a typesetter. A loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, she devoted her time to her family. She was also very active in the community, volunteering for CASA and with her church, Seven Rivers Presbyterian, where she ministered through the prayer chain and MOPS. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 9 years, James Campbell; her children Mike (Carol) Elliott, Fowlerville, MI, Dave (Janet) Elliott, Holly, MI, Steve (Karen) Elliott; daughters Lori (Kenneth) Howerton, Homosassa, FL, Stacy Barroso, Fishers, IN; son-in-laws Frank Barroso, Inverness and Mark Stubbert, Webberville, MI; stepson Jeff Posey; stepdaughters Lisa Ellis and Lori Radford; her brother Doug (Rosie) Denike, Elk Rapids, MI; brother-in-law, Elwood Ott; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Elliott, her second husband Milton “Sam” Posey; a brother Bob Denike, a sister Charlotte Ott, stepdaughter Nicole Stubbert and a grandson John Elliott. A celebration and tribute to Joanne’s life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
