Anna M Funtig

Anna M. Funtig (Vajas) passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015, going peacefully back to the Lord. Born Nov. 29, 1915, she was 99 years young. She originally was from Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Florida in 1971 with her husband, William S. Funtig, who preceded her in death in 1973 and her daughter, Carol A. Vale in 1993 along with her mother and father, Lena and John Vajas. Anna belonged to St. Emeric’s Hungarian Catholic Church in Cleveland, Ohio where she was a member of many of the church’s organizations. She had a wonderful and long life as she and her family raised Appaloosa and Quarter horses for show and racing in Hinckley, Ohio and then in Starke, FL when she and her husband moved there in 1971. After the passing of her husband, she stopped raising horses and moved to Crystal River, FL. Surviving is her son, William A. Funtig of Crystal River, FL. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements.
