John Walter Kondracki, age 88, Homosassa, died March 27, 2015 under the care of his loving family and HPH Hospice. John was born on October 9, 1926 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late John and Katherine Kondracki. He served our country in the United States Navy during WWII. John was a commercial loan officer in the banking industry. John’s passion in life was to be involved in community service by volunteering his time and effort to help those in need. He served as a volunteer for the Key Training Center. He was a member of the West Citrus Elks Lodge, Kiwanis of Homosassa and parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, where he sang in the choir. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 65 years, Mary Kondracki; sons John A. (Helen) Kondracki, NC, Andrew (Barbara) Kondracki, CO and Jason (Karen) Kondracki, CA; 7 grandchildren, Danielle, Jesse, Annie, Dale, Robin and Alex and two great-grandchildren, Harrison and Clara. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ronnie, Ann, brother Edward and a grandson, Andrew Steven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Homosassa. Private inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The family requests memorial donations to Key Training Center Foundation or American Heart Association in lieu of flowers. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
