Mona L. Jackson, 99, of Deland, FL, a former Inverness resident, died March 9, 2015 in the West Volusia Hospice Care Unit in Orange City, FL. Mrs. Jackson was born January 12, 1916 in Grantsville, Utah to the late John and Ellen (Harrison) Bell and came here in 1972 from Altamonte Springs, FL. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lecanto. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Barney Jackson on July 24, 2004.
Survivors include 2 children, Michael Barney Jackson, Deland, FL; Carol Ann Faison, New Orleans, LA; 1 sister, Mary Wrede, Hillsborough, CA; 2 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 13th at 10:00 AM from The Church of Jesus Christ of LDS in Lecanto. Bishop Jerry Campbell will officiate. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
