Ellery V Umbenhaur

ELLERY VIRGIL UMBENHAUR, age 88, Inverness, died March 9, 2015 at his residence under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Ellery was born on October 14, 1926 in Chicago, IL to the late Benjamin F. and Violet (Scholz) Umbenhaur. He was the owner/operator of a grocery business. Ellery enjoyed fresh water fishing, bowling, golfing and loved to work puzzles. He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Floral City. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 65 years, Ellen Umbenhaur; sons Gary Umbenhaur and his fiancee Carol Hearn, Inverness and David R. Umbenhaur and his wife Tammi, Buchanan, MI; brother Robert Umbenhaur, Inverness; five grandchildren, Angela, Benjamin, Joshua, Matthew and Kari and great-grandchildren, Gordon III, Marta and Gabrielle. He was preceded in death by his sister Lois Bobo. A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. Burial will follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City. The family invites friends to join them in visitation from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464 in lieu of flowers that they may continue their wonderful care of others as they have done for our beloved Ellery.
