Gaynell P. Edwards, age 93, Hernando, died February 26, 2015 under the care of Hospice of Citrus County. Gaynell was born on August 1, 1921 in Jefferson County, AL to the late Arthur B. and Mae (Truitt) Powell. She was employed as a bookkeeper in the construction industry. Gaynell enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful flowers of “old time” roses and hollyhocks. She loved to fish and worked crafts and making jewelry. She is survived by a step-grand-daughter Deborah Bissell and her husband Kent of Lobelville, TN and dear friends Ted and Resa Humphrey and Bonnie Owen, all of Hernando. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Edwards. A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Clay Sink Cemetery in Sumter County. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
