STEPHEN WILLIAM LAUGHREY left to be cradled in his Saviour’s arms on Sunday February 22, 2015. Born January 5, 1947 in Terre Haute, IN to the late Albert and Ethel (Brock) Laughrey, Stephen served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Communications Specialist stationed in Germany. Following his service, Stephen returned to Indiana and embarked on a long, successful career selling building materials. He later served on the Board of the National Federation of the Blind, dedicated to the advancement of those with vision impairments. He was a sports enthusiast. Prior to the loss of his sight Stephen enjoyed boating, water sports and golfing. In recent years he was an avid watch collector. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Inverness. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Doris Tabler-Laughrey of Hernando; son Trent Staggs-Laughrey (Melissa), Prattville, Alabama; daughter Heather Jo Laughrey (Scott), Bensalem, Pennsylvania; stepsons Stacy Rigney and Todd Laughrey, both of Olathe, KS; brother James A.
