Steven Lee Parkinson, 60, Floral City, Florida passed away February 19, 2015 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, Florida. He was born in Durant, Mississippi on December 9, 1954, and was an oil company clerk. Steven arrived in this area in 2012, coming from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and was a Methodist by faith. He enjoyed golfing, and was an avid pet lover, especially dogs. He was preceded in death by his father, Boytt Parkinson. Survivors include his loving wife of 5½ years, Cynthia Parkinson. Other survivors include his mother, Dora Parkinson; son Sloan Parkinson of Jackson, MS; step-children Jason Dickerson and Kelly Tilton, both of Floral City, Jody Dickerson and Raygan Sessums, both of Wesley Chapel, FL; and 6 grandchildren. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
