William Lee Gamble, Sr., 66, Inverness, died Dec 26, 2014 in the Hospice of Citrus Co. and Nature Coast at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Mr Gamble was born on Jan 4, 1948 in Jamestown, AL to the late Lenzo and Martha Louise (Speer) Gamble and moved to Floral City, FL in 1956 from there. He was a diesel mechanic for several local construction companies prior to his retirement and Protestant by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Gamble, Inverness; 2 sons, Michael Brannen and William Gamble, Jr, both of Inverness; 3 daughters, Catherine Owens of Crystal River; Carol Gamble, Inverness; and Debbie Gamble, Tarpon Springs, FL; 2 brothers, David Gamble of Floral City; Carl Gamble of Jamestown, AL; 1 sister, Cathy Parker of Palm Coast, FL; several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother and sister, Charles and Sue Gamble.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 31st at 2:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hills of Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday.
