Vernon L Harris

VERNON LEON HARRIS, JR., age 71, died December 4, 2014 under the loving care of his family and HPH Hospice. Vernon was born on November 4, 1943 in St. Louis, MO to the late Vernon L. Harris, Sr. and Maudella (McKnight) Harris. He served our country in the United States Army, retiring after 21 years with the rank of Sgt. 1st Class. He served in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart, the Bronze Star Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge along with many other awards and citations. Vernon enjoyed fishing and reading. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of ten years, Linda Harris; son Tyler Harris of Lecanto, daughters Veronica Price and her husband George, Port St. Lucie, FL; stepson Nicholas Boudreau, Homosassa, FL and stepdaughter Courtney, Lecanto; his brother John N. Harris and four grandchildren. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements.
